Welcome to Salt Lake's best ever Half Marathon. Run the pristine Wasatch landscape amid the beauty of towering mountains, rolling hills, bursts of wild flowers on a friendly winding canyon road that gently descends to the Salt Lake Valley, and continues to show it’s beauty with the majestic Oquirrh Mountains across the plains.

If the Half Marathon is too challenging, form your relay team. Suggested strategy: 1st team member, a hill climber: 2nd team member, a long distance runner: 3rd team member, a sprinter.

RELAY TEAMS:  THE LAST RUNNER WEARS THE BIB NUMBER
The last runner can drive the first and  second team members to their locations and return to Ruth’s Diner (give yourself time).  The 2nd team member can then take the car from Ruth’s and pick up the first runner at Little Mountain and join us at the finish.  That way you will not have to wait for the shuttle bus to pick you up.

The Half Marathon and the 1st member of the relay team both start under the Mt. Dell Golf Course Bridge. To the Start: Go on Parley’s Canyon, take the East Canyon Exit, and meet at the frontage road leading to Mountain Dell Golf Course. You can also go up Emigration Canyon to drop off relay team members.  Give yourself plenty of time.

The course goes up toward East Canyon, makes a left to Emigration Canyon, over Little Mountain, on to Sunnyside, makes a right on Arapeen Dr. and finishes in front of the Marriott University Park Hotel.

If entering the relay, it’s composed of teams of 3 runners. The first exchange will be the top of Little Mountain, second exchange at Ruth's Diner, third team member will take it to the finish. Teams are male team, female team, and mixed team.

This is a jewel of a course, with one hill at the start until reaching Little Mountain. From there the course descends to the finish.

Awards go 3 deep. Age groups will be broken down every five years starting with 14 and under to 70 and over. Relay teams awards will also go 3 deep.

FIND TRANSPORTATION TO THE STARTING LOCATION
Find a friend, family member or car pool.
For those who leave a car at the start, there will be shuttle buses across the Marriott University Park Hotel from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. to take you to your car.
