The Crack Of Dawn 10K Starts Early In The Morning

As the sun rises over the Eastern Mountains at 6:00 AM,

it overlooks Emigration Canyon’s gingerly winding road,

it leads us down some of Salt Lake's most pristine landscapes,

the early morning sun softly colors the landscape

with an abundant array of wild flowers,

an assortment of green bushes,

trees, and grasses.

The cool running stream will keep us company

as we descend down the canyon until reaching Donnor Park

at the end of Emigration Canyon. There we will greet

you with coffee, cool drinks, morning snacks

and music by Kevyn Dern.

HOW TO GET TO THE START

Drive 6 miles up from the mouth of Emigration Canyon, the start is just beyond Pine Crest where you see the first major S curve. FIND TRANSPORTATION TO THE START, there is no parking available.

Find your best friend to get you to the 6:00 AM start because you are going to need them, or an understandable family member to drop you off, you can meet at Donnor Park after the race and join in the early morning hospitality as we greet the new day.
