WHEN YOU REGISTER AN EMAIL WILL BE SENT WITH PACK PICKUP INFORMATION

 Race starts at 10:00 AM at the mouth of City Creek Canyon.  The finish is
at the top of the canyon at  Rotary Park. There we have awards, food, massages,
live music and our social hour before going down the canyon.

Licensed  riders Pro, Cat 1,2,3,4,5.

For everyone
All ages all sizes.
 You can race or ride.  Bring the kids, put on your Halloween costume or come as you are    Love It ! 

Bring your cycling kids. If they are too young bring them up in the bike carriage.

They love it !

It's Halloween season.

Awards will be at Rotary Park.
After the awads PLEASE ride down the canyon slowly.
We can easly loose this event if we don't.

Age divisions 14 & under 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over

 blueberry pancakes.

LICENSE RIDERS

This will be something to see. October 14th, race starts at 10:00 AM.

Who can break the City Creek Bike Sprint course record of 00:20:40.48 set by Chase Pinkham over 5 year ago? If at least 100 riders sign up, $500.00 dollar prize money is on the line for the fastest time. If more than one rider beats the time, the prize will be divided up to three ways. 1st gets $300, 2nd $150, 3rd $50. If the two top finishers break the record, 1st gets $350 and 2nd $150.

The start line will be as follows
1. Cat pro 1,2,3.  Behind them Cat 4-5.
2. Public riders on road bikes will be behind the Cat 4-5 group.
3. Mountain bike division will be behind the public riders.

All division will be timed.

Because the size of the canyon road , a limit of participants may be imposed.

Only official cars will be allowed in the canyon. Spectators need to ride to the finish and be there by 9:30 AM.

City Creek Bike Sprint.  The canyon road looks pretty good. Like every year, there are lots of leaves on the road past the water treatment plant, so be careful.  When coming down the canyon PLEASE ride slowly and be aware of other cyclists, runners and walkers.

10 AM start. Pick up your bib number and T-shirt (if you ordered one)
at the start (gate of City Creek Canyon). Park by the State Capitol and pedal to the start.

Course Description

The course averages a 7.3% grade. The lower portion is a 5.6% grade of mostly
rolling hills. Once you pass the water treatment plant the course averages a
9.4% grade with some steep sections. The distance is 5.70 miles and total elevation gain is 1490 feet.

rider can be anyone who has a bike and can make it to the top.

If the record is broken by the first three finishers, 1st gets $300, 2nd $150, 3rd $50. If the two top finishers break the record, 1st gets $350 and 2nd $150.

The start line will be as follows

Bike Utah is the statewide, nonprofit bicycle advocacy and education organization. They work to improve all types of bicycling across the state and to get more people riding. Healthy snacks, massages, social hour and kick-back time will be at the top of Hidden Peak.

This is the perfect climb with 3000 vertical feet of riding. The location could not be more beautiful, the price is right, the ride down the tram is breath taking and Oktoberfest is in full swing. Now it's time to sign up for the Widow Maker Mt. Bike Hill Clinb because you can. :)

​​After the race we gather at the top of Hidden Peak for our social hour with a beautiful view of the Rockies and the scenic view of the valley. There we will have snacks of all kinds, juice and coffee during Sports-Am's awards presentation to all division winners,  Afterwards, a gental ride down the Tram to the Snowbird Plaza and enjoy Oktoberfet and time to kick back
